Abstract: This report discusses the threats to strategic defense satellites over the next 20-30 years. It describes the purposes and sizes of the satellites, the types of attacks on them, the counters to those attacks, and the likely outcomes of the encounters. It concludes that their survivability and contribution to stability should increase over the next 20-30 years because of the advanced technologies that should become available then.
